Our client, a leading fertiliser plant operator, required durable and lightweight cat ladders and handrails for their facilities. The key challenge was to find a solution that not only withstands corrosive environments but also facilitates efficient export to South America, allowing for more product to be included in each shipment.
Challenges
Traditional steel ladders are prone to corrosion and can add significant weight, limiting export capacity. Additionally, steel ladders require painting, which can lead to maintenance issues if the paint is scratched during transit, exposing the metal to rust.
Solution
We provided our innovative FRP cat ladders and handrails, which are lightweight and pre-pigmented in a durable yellow color. This eliminated the need for additional painting and ensured that even if scratched, the material remains corrosion-resistant.
